Giampietro Gobo, he is the Principal Investigator of the Project, he teaches Sociology of Science and Technology at the Department of Philosophy ‘Piero Martinetti’. He deals with scientific controversies on public health issues (paediatric vaccinations, early anticovid therapies, etc.) on which he has published several articles. His most recent books include: Sociology of Science and Technology (Carocci 2021, with V. Marcheselli) and Science, Technology and Society (Palgrave Macmillan 2022, with V. Marcheselli).

Enrico Campo, he is a Researcher in Sociology at the Department of Philosophy ‘Piero Martinetti’, where he teaches Sociological Theories. He is interested in the sociology of knowledge and the study of the relationship between culture, technology and cognitive processes. He is the author of La testa altrove. L’attenzione e la sua crisi nella società digitale (Donzelli 2020, Routledge 2022) and has edited The Politics of Curiosity: Alternatives to the Attention Economy (with Yves Citton, Routledge 2024) and Exploring the Crisis: Theoretical Perspectives and Empirical Investigations (with Andrea Borghini, Pisa University Press, 2015).

Leo Pedrana, he is a research fellow at the Department of Philosophy ‘Piero Martinetti’, and holds a PhD in Public Health from the Federal University of Bahia (Brazil). He has been project manager of social projects with more than 20 years of experience in sociological and anthropological research-intervention with vulnerable groups internationally between Italy, Brazil and the United Kingdom. He has worked on co-production of research-intervention projects with a global perspective and in particular with rural communities in disease-endemic areas in Brazil, Sri Lanka and Ethiopia.

Barbara Sena, she is the head of the Bergamo Unit, she is Associate Professor of General Sociology at the Department of Humanities, Philosophy, Communication, where she teaches General Sociology and Sociology of Science. Her recent publications include: ‘Case studies in social research’ (2023, Routledge); ‘Supporting ethical end-of-life care during pandemic: Palliative care team perspectives’, in Nursing Ethics (2023); ‘Looking at Covid-19 vaccine hesitancy through a macro perspective. A comparative study of Italy, Poland and Portugal’, in Participation and Conflict (2022); ’Managing the end of life in COVID patients. The role of palliative care in emergency departments during the pandemic’, in Frontiers in Sociology (2022).

Ivan Galligani, he is a research fellow at the Department of Arts, Philosophy, Communication, and obtained a PhD in Political Science at the University of Pisa. His research interests concern the analysis of public policies and the evaluation of their social impact, with particular reference to policies to combat various forms of poverty, and to digitalisation initiatives and the dissemination of technological innovation in health and social care. He is the author of “La comunità educante come percorso d’infrastrutturazione sociale” (Franco Angeli, 2024).

Nicola Matteucci, he is the head of the Ancona Unit, he is Associate Professor of Applied Economics at the Department of Economic and Social Sciences. Nicola’s current research interests are in the economics and policy of ICT and network industries (e.g. broadband, gambling, healthcare, media), institutions, policy-making and regulation. He is module coordinator for Microeconomics at UNIVPM’s Doctorate in Economics (since 2015), where he teaches Game Theory and Industrial Organisation. He serves on the editorial boards of the scientific journals: Telecommunications Policy; Springer Nature Business & Economics; L’industria; Journal of Law and Regulation; and Prism. Previously, also of the Italian Journal of Public Economics.

Micol Bronzini, she is an associate professor at the Department of Economics and Social Sciences, where she teaches Sociology of Health and Professions, Sociology of Organisation and Sociology of Organisational Systems; she is a member of the Teaching Board of the PhD in Economics and of the Centre for Research on Socio-Health Integration (CRISS-UNIVPM). His main research interests lie in the Sociology of Health and Medicine (care relationships and narrative practices in medicine, organisational and professional changes in health and social-health realities, with particular regard to the implications of new digital technologies) and Welfare (housing policies, ageing, social health inequalities).
